  • Schouten introduced a plant-based, 46% vegetable snack for children in October 2023. Schouten's new nibbles contain red pepper, onion, maize, carrots, and garden peas, accounting for 46% of their ingredients. The nuggets are supposed to feel crispy. To appeal to both children and adults, they are shaped like hearts, circles, and stars. 
  • Nestlé introduced three new plant-based fish substitutes for white fish in October 2023 in several European nations, including Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Spain, and Italy. The new alternatives are marine-style crispy fillet and marine-style crispy nuggets, which are sold in Europe under the Garden Gourmet brand. The company has already brought crispy fish-free fingers to Malaysia and Singapore under the Harvest Gourmet brand.
  • A snack manufacturer introduced a line of plant-based protein bars in January 2022. Each 2.2-ounce snack bar with double chocolate almond butter and chocolate chip peanut butter is free of gluten, and genetically modified ingredients, and is kosher. Almonds or peanuts are mixed with pea proteins to create single-serving bars that have 15 grams of protein per bar.
  • The new plant-based snack "Protein Twists," owned by Eat Well Group, was introduced to 350 federated Co-ops in December 2021. Protein Twists come in two vegan flavors: vegan cheese and vegan ketchup. Mediterranean and cool lime were the other two flavors that the Eat Well Group worked on. The vegan twisted curls have about 30% fewer calories and a better nutritional profile than competing products.
